The Chargers closed out the preseason Saturday night in Santa Clara as the attention now shifts to the coming weeks. Up next? The 53-man roster cutdown deadline on Tuesday at 1 p.m. (PT) ... and a Week 1 date with the Chiefs in Brazil in 13 days.

The Chargers traveled to Santa Clara on Friday ahead of their preseason finale, where players will have one more chance to make an impression. The Bolts and 49ers play Saturday at 5:30 p.m. (PT)

Day 24
The Chargers wrapped up training camp on Thursday, as the focus now moves to Saturday's preseason finale. Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh announced Trey Lance would start the game followed by Taylor Heinicke and each will play "one to two series." The Chargers are traveling to Santa Clara on Friday before their final preseason game against the 49ers on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (PT).

Day 23
The Chargers defense was up to the challenge in the penultimate practice of camp as the first-team defense shined in a full-team red-zone drill. The unit was disruptive, notching an interception plus a tackle for loss in the drill. After practice, fullback/defensive lineman Scott Matlock talked about his second season playing on both sides of the ball. The Chargers will be back at The Bolt for their last training camp practice of 2025 on Thursday at 1:15 p.m. (PT).

Day 22
Mekhi Becton returned to practice Tuesday after missing some time, as the guard took part in stretches and individual drills. While he didn't participate in team drills it was a big boost for the Bolts. After practice, rookie wide receivers Tre' Harris and KeAndre Lambert-Smith took the podium to talk about where they're at with over two weeks until the regular season. The Chargers will be back at The Bolt for their second-to-last practice on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. (PT).

Day 21
The Bolts returned to the practice field on Monday for the first time this week, and it was rookie running back Omarion Hampton that stole the show. Even though there was no live tackling, Hampton displayed his speed, athleticism and power as he broke off a number of chunk plays. After practice, fellow rookie Jamaree Caldwell talked about his first action along the interior defensive line in the preseason. The Chargers will be back at The Bolt for practice on Tuesday at 12:50 p.m. (PT).

Rookie wide receivers Tre' Harris and KeAndre Lambert-Smith sparked the offense Saturday night to lead the standouts from the third preseason game against the Rams. The Bolts are back on the practice field Monday at 12:45 p.m. in El Segundo.

Off Day
The Bolts were off as they prepared for their third preseason game of the year, one that will have Justin Herbert playing in his first preseason game ever. Herbert and most offensive and defensive starters will suit up in the contest as they will see their first action of the year. The Chargers and Rams kick off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Day 20
Justin Herbert will start Saturday against the Rams, Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh said Thursday morning, which means the Bolts quarterback is in line to make his first-ever preseason appearance. Starters on both offense and defense, minus Khalil Mack and Derwin James, Jr., will suit up on Saturday, as linebacker Daiyan Henley is among those fired up for his first game action of the year. The Chargers now turning their attention to Saturday's preseason game against the Rams. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. (PT).

Day 19
Another day, another excellent effort from the Chargers defense. Daiyan Henley and Tarheeb Still made splash plays Wednesday as each recorded a pick 6, while Derwin James, Jr. and Khalil Mack both made the presence felt for the second day in a row. The Chargers will practice on Thursday at 1:15 p.m. before turning their attention to Saturday's preseason game against the Rams.

Day 18
The first Bolts practice back after the second preseason game was one where a pair of veteran defenders made their stamp. Derwin James, Jr., and Khalil Mack wreaked havoc on Tuesday, notching a number of sacks and negative plays against the offense in team drills. After practice, Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston spoke about what it's been like having Keenan Allen in the receiver room so far. The Chargers return to practice on Wednesday at 12:50 p.m.

Off Day
The team had a recovery day following their second win of the preseason. Coming off of the victory, there were a number of players who stood out such Caleb Murphy, Eric Rogers and third-round pick Jamaree Caldwell, each of whom flashed against the Saints. The Bolts will be back on the field on Tuesday for a fully-padded practice at 12:45 p.m.

Make it two straight preseason wins for the Chargers after they picked up a 27-13 victory in their home game over the Saints. Trey Lance flashed once again, this time using his legs and leading the Bolts in rushing yards. Off Day
The Bolts were off as they geared up for their second preseason game against New Orleans at SoFi Stadium. The team also added some offensive line depth with veteran David Sharpe, and in a corresponding move they placed tackle Rashawn Slater on Injured Reserve. The Chargers and Saints kick off at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday.

Day 17
Only one practice remained this week for the Bolts, and quarterback Justin Herbert lit it up Friday. Herbert's big day mostly came in the red zone where he threw three touchdowns, but he also connected on explosive plays, too. After practice, Joe Alt and Trey Pipkins III spoke to the media for the first time since Rashawn Slater's season-ending injury as they are now slated to man both tackle spots. The Chargers host the Saints in preseason action on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. (PT) at SoFi Stadium. Taylor Heinicke will start at QB for the Bolts.

The Bolts were back from a day off, as wide receiver Keenan Allen practiced with the team for the first time since being signed. The Chargers announced Thursday that Rashawn Slater sustained a torn patellar tendon earlier the day in practice and will undergo surgery to repair the injury. He will miss the 2025 season and be placed on Injured Reserve. Now, the focus will turn to how the team adapts without one of their best offensive linemen. The Chargers are back on the field on Friday for a 1 p.m. practice, their final one before Sunday's preseason game against the Saints.

Off Day
The Chargers had a day off after four straight days of practice as the news of Keenan Allen's return continued to make headlines. Day 14
The Bolts are through 14 camp practices as they took the field for a lighter day on Monday. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh appears close to naming a starting offensive line as he gave an update prior to practice on the center and left guard competition. Meanwhile on the field, Justin Herbert threw four touchdown passes in a red zone-focused day. The Chargers are back for an afternoon practice Tuesday at 5 p.m. (PT) before an off day on Wednesday.

The Bolts took the practice field in El Segundo for the final time before Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Lions, where Head Coach Jim Harbaugh said prior to practice that Trey Lance will get the start. It was a lighter non-padded practice, as Rashawn Slater hopped back in the mix during team drills and the Chargers defense was disruptive. Derius Davis' recent surge as a wide receiver continued Saturday as he caught three touchdown passes, including two from Justin Herbert in team drills. Undrafted rookie cornerback Nikko Reed also flashed again with an interception off Herbert. Off the field, former Bolts defensive end Isaac Rochell retired as a Charger while Denzel Perryman was ranked as one of the league's 10 best linebacker by NFL.com. Day 4
