It's time for game action after Day 11 of Chargers Training Camp wrapped up Tuesday.
The Bolts practiced for 90 minutes without pads, with Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh cutting the originally schedule two-hour practice a bit short.
The Chargers will travel Wednesday for Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, which will be started by quarterback Trey Lance.
Here is the Chargers Camp Report from Tuesday's practice:
1. Bolts mix up O-line combos
Harbaugh said earlier Tuesday that Zion Johnson will start preseason's opener at center and will likely play a couple of drives.
The fourth-year lineman worked at multiple positions Tuesday, as he was at left guard with the top offense before switching to center with the next group.
Left tackle Rashawn Slater, who had been dealing with a blister on his foot, returned to full-team drills Tuesday.
The order, from left to right, then went Johnson, Bradley Bozeman at center and Jamaree Salyer right guard, as the latter filled in for Mekhi Becton. Joe Alt was at right tackle.
Johnson then switched the center with the reserve offense, with Andre James taking third-team center reps.
Lance and Taylor Heinicke split reps with the second group whose offensive line consisted of, from left to right, Trey Pipkins III, Karsen Barnhart, Johnson, Branson Taylor and Corey Stewart.
2. Bridges nabs INT
The Bolts defense was swarming at times Tuesday afternoon.
Derwin James, Jr. and Denzel Perryman opened practice by nearly teaming up on an interception before Donte Jackson notched a pass breakup when he couldn't secure the catch on defense.
The takeaway finally came when rookie Trikweze Bridges swopped in for an interception on Lance in a full-team drill.
The play was another strong moment for Bridges, a 2025 seventh-round pick who also had an interception last Tuesday in San Diego.
Jackson later tallied another interception before Ja'Sir Taylor also notched one on a deep pass down the right sideline.
3. Prepping for game action
The Bolts spent almost half of Tuesday's practice working on special teams in anticipation of Thursday night's preseason opener.
That meant plenty of punt and kickoff drills, both in coverage and on the return.
They also put the punt unit in a hurry-up situation when the group had to run onto the field in a 'Mayday' situation to get lined up and snap the ball as soon as possible.
Taylor and Deane Leonard, two of the Bolts top gunners in recent seasons, were at those spots Tuesday. Nikko Reed, who has flashed as a defensive back, was also at gunner along with Jaylen Johnson.
