Another week of Chargers Training Camp is complete.
The pads came on this week for the Bolts as they starting thinking about their preseason opener Thursday in Canton, Ohio against the Lions.
Here are some of the top plays from Week 2 of camp:
2-TD Day for QJ
We'll start off with a combo from Quentin Johnston, who has been on fire throughout the first part of camp.
The third-year receiver had one of his bigger practices to start the week hauling in two deep touchdowns, each flashing his ability in different ways.
Johnston beat his man deep and created enough separation for the deep score, but the second was perhaps more impressive as the receiver reached out to the back corner of the end zone and bring in a perfect pass from Justin Herbert.
KLS bursts onto scene
KeAndre Lambert-Smith was limited during the spring, but made sure to make his presence known earlier in the week.
During 1-on-1 sessions between receivers and cornerbacks, the fifth-round rookie made arguably the catch of camp so far.
Lambert-Smith bolted down the right sideline before leaping on his back shoulder to haul in the pass, as well as getting both feet inbounds for the grab.
It wouldn't be the last time the impressive body control and instincts flashed for the rookie (more on that later).
Tipping it to himself
From offensive rookie to a defensive rookie.
Seventh-rounder Trikweze Bridges had himself a strong day in San Diego culminating with quite the interception.
Bridges followed stride for stride with Jalen Reagor and put himself in a position to tip the pass to himself and force the turnover during team periods.
Rookie strikes again
How about some more Lambert-Smith highlights?
The rookie receiver had a coming out party of sorts in San Diego, showing off his ability to come back for the ball on the two clips above.
If the ball is coming to him, Lambert-Smith has shown he'll go get it however he can.
Scoring machine
Another day, another score for No. 1.
Johnston finished off another impressive week with a touchdown in team drills on Saturday.
The wide receiver was able to evade the defense down the middle of the field, gaining enough separation to haul in the 25-yard touchdown.
TOP PLAYS FROM WEEK 1
Herbert back like he never left
Justin Herbert rung in the new camp like only he could.
The Chargers franchise quarterback didn't miss a beat even on the opening day of training camp as he found Jalen Reagor deep for a 50-yard touchdown during the team portion of the practice.
Credit to Reagor as well, who had to make an outstretched effort to haul in the ball.
No. 10 was in midseason form on Day 1.
Johnston hauls in TD
The second day was more of the same for Herbert airing it out, this time finding the third-year receiver Quentin Johnston.
Johnston showed off his speed on a crossing route and found some space where Herbert connected with him in stride for what would have been a 40-plus yard touchdown.
Johnston had a knack for finding the endzone in 2024, leading the team with eight touchdowns in his second year, and in the first week of camp he found his way to the endzone again.
Rookie making plays
Oronde Gadsden just continues to flash.
The rookie tight end had a strong spring and showed off the rapport with Herbert once again on Saturday, hauling in a chunk play down the left sideline where he was able to create enough separation.
It was part of a big day for Gadsden where he had three receptions, all from Herbert, and continued to show his receiving ability.
