All eyes will be on this one.
The Bolts will play their third exhibition game Saturday against the Rams, a contest that Justin Herbert will start in his first-ever preseason action.
Kickoff from SoFi Stadium is at 4 p.m. (PT).
Here are five players to watch in the Chargers third preseason game:
1. QB Justin Herbert
You knew Herbert was making this list.
When your franchise quarterback has never appeared in preseason action, the chance for him to get his first reps there is a big deal.
Herbert said Thursday that he recently went to Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh with the idea of playing in the preseason.
Herbert is expected to play "a series, could be two," according to Harbaugh, but the reps should be beneficial given the Bolts season opener against the Chiefs in Brazil is three weeks away.
Perhaps Herbert mostly hands the ball off Saturday, but it's a good bet he gets a few throws in, too,
No matter what happens, it will be fun to watch No. 10 in preseason action.
2. RT Trey Pipkins III
The Bolts have had to shuffle their offensive line in the past week after Rashawn Slater was lost for the season with a knee injury.
Joe Alt has switched sides and is now manning Slater's spot at left tackle, meaning Pipkins is now the Chargers starting right tackle.
It's a spot Pipkins knows well as he has 2,700-plus career snaps there, and the Bolts will need him to step up in 2025 to help offset the loss of Slater.
Pipkins likely won't play much Saturday, but a strong showing would be a confidence boost for the offensive line with the regular season looming.
3. OLB Tuli Tuipulotu
Tuipulotu has moved into an elevated role this season as he will start on a full-time basis for the first time in his career.
But with Khalil Mack planing to watch from the sideline Saturday, Tuipulotu will be the Chargers de-facto No. 1 edge rusher against the Rams.
Tuipulotu actually led the Bolts with 8.5 sacks a year ago, 7.0 of which came in a four-game stretch in the middle of the season.
The Bolts are likely hoping for more season-long consistency from Tuipulotu, who has a much-needed physical aspect to his game and is among the Bolts bright young defensive pieces.
4. CB Benjamin St-Juste
St-Juste was added as a free agent this offseason in a move that perhaps didn't draw many national headlines.
But the 27-year-old offers a unique size at cornerback (6-foot-3 and 200 pounds) and has surged in recent training camp practices.
St-Juste is part of a cornerback group that has depth but is still looking for a top-tier player to emerge this summer.
If St-Juste can translate his recent productive practice reps into game action, he'll have firmly put himself in the conversation to start in the secondary in Jesse Minter's scheme.
5. LB Marlowe Wax
We'll end this list with a lesser-known name in Wax, a player who is gaining respect inside the organization of late.
Chargers safety Derwin James, Jr. brought up Wax's name in his press conference this week, and fellow linebacker Daiyan Henley heaped praise on the rookie undrafted free agent on Thursday.
Wax led the Chargers with nine solo tackles in last weekend's win over the Saints and seems to be an ascending player on defense.
And while cracking the 53-man roster might be a long shot given the veteran depth in the room, there's no doubt Wax is pushing for a spot on the practice squad
