By the Numbers: With Clutch Sack, Melvin Ingram Passes Seau for No. 4 on Bolts List

Melvin Ingram vs. Chiefs

Notable numbers from the Chargers' Week 11 game against the Kansas City Chiefs:

47.5

Defensive end Melvin Ingram's fourth-quarter sack allowed him to pass Hall of Fame linebacker Junior Seau ('90 – '02) for No. 4 in Chargers history. The sack came at a crucial juncture of the game, on third down right before the two-minute warning to force a K.C. punt. Defensive end Lee Williams ('84 – '90) currently ranks third on the Bolts sacks list with 65.5 sacks.

6,000+

Wide receiver Keenan Allen became the seventh player to reach 6,000 yards receiving in Chargers history, posting eight catches for 71 yards and a touchdown. Fellow wideout Wes Chandler ('81 – '87) stands 130 yards receiving ahead of Allen on the franchise list.

438

The Chargers racked up 438 total yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico City, just four yards shy of their season-high, which came in a Week 9 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Additionally, the Chargers' 312 total yards in the first half is the fourth-most in a first half in Bolts annals and their most since Week 14 of the 2017 season.

72.6

The Chargers defense limited reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes to 182 yards passing and a 72.6 passer rating, the third-worst passer rating of his 26-game career. Bolts safety Rayshawn Jenkins' interception of Mahomes was just the second of the season for the Chiefs QB, whose TD:INT ratio entering the game was 18:1.

60+

Running back Austin Ekeler and Allen became the first Chargers duo with 60-plus receptions in a season since Allen and running back Danny Woodhead accomplished the feat in 2015. Ekeler caught eight passes for 108 yards, his second career 100-yard receiving performance, with both coming this season.

14

Philip Rivers eclipsed 3,000 passing yards for the season on a second-quarter 16-yard pass to Ekeler. Rivers has now passed for more than 3,000 yards in 14 consecutive seasons, which ties him for the fourth-longest streak in NFL history.

12

Linebacker Thomas Davis made a game-high 12 total tackles, making this the fifth time in 11 games the 36-year-old has led the Chargers in tackles. His 90 total tackles this season easily lead the team and tie him for sixth in the NFL.

5

Melvin Gordon moved into a tie for No. 5 among Bolts running backs all-time in yards receiving with fullback Keith Lincoln ('61-'68) at 1,689. Gordon's three receptions in the game also brought him to 200 in his career.
