A number of Chargers have not only been performing at a high-level — they're among the best in the NFL at their positions early in the 2025 season.
Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame recently unveiled his quarterly All-Pro team with 25 percent of the regular season almost in the books and had a trio of Bolts on his list.
Leading off for the Chargers was none other than wide receiver Quentin Johnston, who has had a breakout season so far.
The third-year receiver has been the most dynamic weapon for Justin Herbert and the offense through four games leading the team in catches, receiving yards and touchdown catches.
Johnston has gotten even better this year and was one of three players as a First-Teamer on Verderame's All-Pro team.
Verderame wrote:
Johnston is finally delivering on the promise that made him a first-round pick in 2023 from TCU. The Chargers lead the AFC West at 3–1, and Johnston is a significant reason why, with 22 catches and 337 yards, which ranks third.

Johnston recently joined Hall of Famer Antonio Gates as the only Chargers players with 70-plus receiving yards in the first four games of a season, and his stellar start has him among the NFL's best through four weeks.
The Chargers also had another first-teamer in safety Derwin James, Jr., who has arguably been even better following a career season in 2024.
James leads the team in tackles through four games (34) and has been even better rushing the passer this season with 1.5 sacks and six quarterback pressures, the most among all defensive backs heading into the week, according to Next Gen Stats
He was an easy First-Team All-Pro so far for Verderame.
Verderame wrote:
As usual, James belongs at the top of the chart for safeties. He's doing it all for the Chargers, racking up 1.5 sacks, five tackles for loss and a pair of passes defensed.
The final member of the Chargers on Verderame's All-Pro team was tackle Joe Alt, who made a seamless transition to left tackle during training camp.
Listed on the second-team, Alt is tied for the fewest pressures allowed (three) by tackles with at least 150 snaps so far this season, according to Pro Football Focus.
Verderame wrote:
Alt has also done an admirable job at left tackle, protecting Justin Herbert's blindside after Rashawn Slater tore his patellar tendon this summer. In four games there, Alt has posted the fourth-highest grade of all tackles before sustaining an ankle sprain on Sunday against the Giants.
The Chargers continue in Week 5 with a game against an NFC opponent in the Commanders at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is at 1:25 p.m.
