Justin Herbert didn't win the 2025 NFL MVP on Thursday night, but he was certainly in the conversation.

The Chargers quarterback received a single first-place nod among the 50 voters as Herbert was one of four players to earn an MVP vote for the 2025 season.

And with the NFL offseason ramping up, Herbert already has strong odds for the 2026 season, too.

Pro Football Focus recently posted that Herbert's 2026 MVP odds are at +1000, which is tied for the third-best odds among all players.

DraftKings also had Herbert at +1000, which was also tied for the third-best odds.

FanDuel, meanwhile, had Herbert tied for fourth on their list at +1100.

The buzz around Herbert's early 2026 candidacy comes with good reason as the Bolts recently hired Mike McDaniel as the Chargers Offensive Coordinator.

McDaniel said last month that he plans on both elevating Herbert's game while also protecting the franchise quarterback.

"I think he has different skills ... he is unique to any player I've coached," McDaniel said.

He later added: "I'm really excited because I think his best football is in front of him, not behind him."
