Chargers Outside Linebacker Khalil Mack Ranks No. 78 on NFL Top 100 List

Future Hall of Famer Khalil Mack continues to rank among the league's best entering his 12th season in the league.

The veteran outside linebacker became the second member of the Chargers to make an appearance on the NFL’s Top 100 list, checking in at No. 78 overall on Tuesday morning.

It is his third straight year on the rankings and 10th overall.

Mack is coming off another strong season in Year 11 and finished second on the Bolts with 6.0 sacks. He extended his streak to 10 consecutive seasons with at least that amount, the longest active streak in the NFL and among the longest in NFL history.

The now 34-year-old led the team in quarterback pressures with 54, according to Next Gen Stats, as his 15-percent pressure rate was ninth-best among qualified defensive linemen.

He also boasted the fourth-best Pro Football Focus defense grade with a 90.4 and continued to be among the best run defenders at his position as he finished the season with the second-highest PFF run defense grade among edge rushers at 88.0.

Whatever way you look at it, Mack produced once again.

And he continues to be just as impactful for the team off the field as he is on the field, which is why his return to the Bolts is something everyone was fired up about.

"It means everything. He's one of the best to ever do it," Chargers Defensive Coordinator Jesse Minter said earlier in the offseason. "Really, just the type of person he is, the type of leadership that he brings."

Minter later added: "For the young guys to have him around and putting in the work he's putting in and the way that he's doing it, it just makes everybody better. We're super grateful he wanted to come back. That was really important that he wanted to be here and have another chance with this group. Just excited to have him back."

Now back for his fourth season as a Charger, Mack is determined to continue building in another season in his quest for a Super Bowl.

"You're chasing that feeling on wanting to win important games deep in the season," Mack said. "Being that I haven't reached that point yet, I couldn't give up on that dream and that goal on myself and this franchise."

He later added: "I love the game of football and it's so much fun playing with these guys. That's what overtrumps all the other stuff."

Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey kicked off the list at No. 100 overall.
