The Bolts 2025 draft class was quite the haul — and there's no one more excited than the person who made the picks.

Chargers General Manager Joe Hortiz jumped on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday and said the organization was fired up about the nine picks during the draft.

And while it might take some time to truly see how the players pan out, the Chargers found themselves a lot of value in each round.

"That's what you're trying to do, you're trying to get value with every pick," Hortiz said on the show Thursday. "We feel like we did that with a lot of players.

"I think the draft grades itself and it grades itself in the next two or three years," Hortiz added.

Of course it all started with selecting running back Omarion Hampton at No. 22 overall, a powerful runner who rushed for over 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns each of the last two seasons.

When the Bolts were on the clock, the Chargers General Manager couldn't have been happier to see the running back's name at the top of their board and still available.

"We stack our players one to 200," Hortiz said. "We go in that order and when we got on the clock, he was the guy. He was one of those players that we had up there high that, we really don't want to trade away from him unless we get blown away.

"Really a special player. Physical, talented runner, very good speed… Excited to have him in," Hortiz added "We think he can do a lot of great things for us."

Hortiz also addressed the viral photo of Hampton that has been making waves on social media taken by Chargers photographer Mia Jones.

In the image of the running back and Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh shaking hands, it appears as though Hampton is towering over his new head coach.

"That's the beauty of photography," Hortiz said with a laugh. "Whoever captured that picture, I don't know who took that picture whether Ty [Nowell] took that or Mia, but whoever took that picture that's a great photographer. To really make him as big. He's actually not taller than coach."

Hampton, listed at 6-foot at the Combine, is actually a little shorter than Harbaugh, who was listed at 6-foot-3 during his playing days.

The angle might be deceiving, but Hortiz added the running back is still stout regardless.

"He's put together," Hortiz said.
