Los Chargers seleccionaron al linero ofensivo de Notre Dame, Joe Alt, con la quinta selección general en el Draft de la NFL de 2024 el jueves por la noche.
Alt por consenso es el mejor jugador de su posición del draft de este año.
Alt es el jugador número 5 del analista de draft de ESPN Jordan Reid, mientras que Dane Brugler de The Athletic también lo tiene en ese lugar.

Alt se mantiene ligero con la agilidad, el control corporal y las habilidades de recuperación instintivas de un gran hombre para convertirse en un bloqueador terrestre de alto nivel y un protector de pases superior al promedio desde muy temprano en esta carrera en la NFL. No hay otro prospecto que me haya impresionado más mientras estuve de gira explorando en vivo el año pasado. Alt llegó a los irlandeses como ala cerrada, pero su transición a tackle ofensivo durante las últimas tres temporadas ha sido perfecta.
