Tuli Tuipulotu Racks Up 3 Sacks in 1st Half Against Giants

Tuli Tuipulotu's 2025 season so far had been productive as he entered Week 4 tied for 10th in the league with 15 pressures.

But the third-year edge rusher had not yet notched a sack, something Chargers Defensive Coordinator Jesse Minter knew would change with the way he had been playing.

"I'm confident that those type of splash plays that I know he's looking for will come," Minter said this week.

He was more the right after the opening half Tuipulotu put together against the Giants.

The outside linebacker tallied 3.0 sacks, four quarterback hits and four more pressures in the first half at MetLife Stadium to set a career high over just two quarters of action.

His first came on a third down in the first quarter, as rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart looked to scramble and make a play happen.

That's where Tuipulotu came in from behind and brought down the quarterback to get the defense off the field.

His second came a lot quicker than the first, as he made a beeline to the quarterback unblocked for the sack.

He added another right before the half with the Giants knocking on the end zone to thwart the drive where the Giants settled on a field goal.

Tuipulotu picked up right where he left off in the second half notching another sack, this time on Russell Wilson, for his fourth of the day. His 4.0 sacks are the most in a game by a player so far in 2025.

Tuipulotu led the Chargers with 8.5 sacks in 2024.
