The Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions open the 2025 preseason in the Hall of Fame Game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
MATCHUP HISTORY
Thursday night's game will mark the first Hall of Fame Game meeting between the two teams. It also marks the first appearance in the Hall of Fame Game for both teams in more than 30 years, with the Chargers last playing in Canton in 1994 and the Lions in 1991.
This is the Chargers third trip to Canton for the annual game while it's Detroit's fourth. The two teams will play two days before the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 is officially enshrined at a ceremony on Aug. 2, where Chargers legend Antonio Gates will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
