Jim Harbaugh Reacts to Having More NFL Rushing Yards Than Bo Jackson

The new year just began, but Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh already has a leader in mind for what clip will be the best of 2026.

"I know it's only January 2, but I'm pretty sure I've found my favorite video of the year," Harbaugh said on Friday.

NFL Films recently released a clip on Thursday where they quizzed head coaches around the league on one question: Which current head coach has more regular season rushing yards than Bo Jackson?

The question stumped everybody from Rams Head Coach Sean McVay, Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel and many more.

It even stumped Harbaugh's older brother, John, who couldn't guess it until he told it was a coach in the AFC West.

The answer to the trivia question of course is the Chargers Head Coach, who finished his 14-year career with 2,787 rushing yards to Jackson's 2,782.

"I'm sure Bo's yards looked a lot better," Jim Harbaugh said Friday with a laugh.

"I never relied on fancy footwork, kind of just preferred to move through people," he added. "Finesse wasn't a huge part of my game. Kind of a surprising thing."

Harbaugh said he heard from at least half a dozen players about the clip, plus other family and friends.

He was made aware of the stat many months prior, and was not surprised his colleagues around the league, including his brother, did not get it immediately.

"It was just all of it. It was just kind of funny," Harbaugh said. "I knew that one back a couple months ago or back in the summer it was out there. I was surprised by it, surprised by the stat itself.

"If somebody doesn't know that, it almost felt like a trick question," Harbaugh added. "I thought it was really cool."
