Chargers Sign Pair of Offensive Linemen

The Los Angeles Chargers claimed OL Larry Allen Jr., and signed OL Jamar McGloster the organization announced on Friday. In corresponding moves, LB Tre'Von Johnson and C/G Cole Toner were waived/injured.

Allen spent the offseason after signing with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard. He is the son of Larry Allen, a Pro Football Hall of Famer and member of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor that made 11 Pro Bowls. The Danville, Calif., native played four seasons for the Crimson, earning first-team All-Ivy League honors as a sophomore and senior.

McGloster returns to the Chargers as he spent part of the 2018 season on the practice squad. He most recently was with the Oakland Raiders. He also spent time with the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers in 2018. McGloster played in 30 career games at Syracuse, making 24 consecutive starts at right tackle from 2016-17.
