The Chargers have plenty of star power on their roster as the get ready for training camp.
A quartet of players were recently tabbed by CBS Sports' Pete Prisco on his top 100 players list for the upcoming 2025 season.
The Chargers were led by left tackle Rashawn Slater, who landed at No. 38 on Prisco's list.
Prisco wrote:
Slater is a rock on the left side of the Chargers line. He excels in pass protection for Justin Herbert, but he's also powerful in the run game.
Slater, who ranked 69th on this list a year ago, earned Pro Bowl honors in 2024 as he posted a 90.9 overall Pro Football Focus grade this past season.
The left tackle was one of just two tackles and six offensive lineman to hit that mark among players with at least 500 snaps. In the past four seasons, only 12 total players have reached at least a 90.9 grade.
Herbert landed at No. 49 on the list. Prisco opined:
In his first season under Jim Harbaugh, Herbert threw for 3,870 yards with 23 touchdown passes and just three picks. Over the final four games, he threw nine touchdown passes. He's another who needs to win in the playoffs.
Herbert's TD:INT ratio of 7.67 ranks eighth all-time among quarterbacks who threw at least 15 touchdown passes in a season.
McConkey appeared on Prisco's list for the first time as he came in at No. 93.
Prisco wrote:
As a rookie, McConkey caught 82 passes for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns. He averaged 14.0 per catch and should be even better in 2025. He also had nine catches for 179 yards and a touchdown in his team's playoff loss.
McConkey, a 2024 second-round pick, recently said he focused on getting healthy this offseason with a goal to play in all 18 games in 2025.

Derwin James, Jr. rounded out the Chargers group at No. 95. Prisco said of James:
James was back to playing at a high level in 2024 after a disappointing 2023 season. He was used more near the line of scrimmage, which plays to his strengths. He is not a player who can just sit in center field and dominate
James earned All-Pro honors in 2024 under Jesse Minter and was a star in recent offseason practices.
