Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week by the league office. It is his fifth career Special Teams Player of the Week honor and his fourth with the Chargers.
Cameron Dicker continued to showcase himself as the most accurate kicker in NFL history during the Chargers' win at Miami, leading the league in Week 6 by making all five field goal attempts, including a game-winning 33-yard field goal in the waning seconds, and both extra points to total 17 points. He now has converted four game-winning kicks with less than 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter or overtime since entering the NFL in 2022, leading the league over that span. This season, Dicker's 14 made field goals and 53 points scored lead all AFC players, while he's also the only kicker in the AFC to make 100 percent of his field goal attempts on the year. The performance brings him to an all-time NFL-record 94.6 field goal percentage (105-of-111) among players with at least 100 field goal attempts.
Dicker previously won Special Teams Player of the Week in Weeks 17 and 18 of the 2024 season, Week 5 of the 2022 season (NFC with Philadelphia Eagles) and Week 9 of the 2022 season (AFC with Los Angeles Chargers). His four Special Teams Player of the Week awards with the Bolts the second-most by a Charger, trailing only John Carney (eight). Dicker also was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for December/January with the Bolts in the 2022 season en route to All-Rookie recognition by the Professional Football Writers of America.
