Chargers Celebrate Youth Football Tradition During 2017 Season

The Chargers have a longstanding history of supporting youth football programs, and in 2017, they took it to a new level by way of the NFL's Youth Football Tradition program.

The Youth Football Tradition was started by the league during the 2017 preseason, but the Chargers made it a season-long commitment to highlight football at all levels.

At nearly every home game, the Chargers brought a local youth football team to StubHub Center for a pregame field visit meet and greet with Bolts legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson.  They then got to run out of the tunnel just like the Bolts do, and the days' events culminated with the youth teams joining the Chargers on field for the national anthem.

For each game, their tickets were provided courtesy of Keenan Allen via the Chargers' Community Corner program.

"I was happy to be able to provide the experience for the teams," Allen said.  "I remember being young and being in their shoes.  It was great to have them cheering us on and to give back."

The Chargers would like to thank the teams below for joining them this season, and are greatly looking forward to continuing this tradition in 2018.
