Bolts Elevate Hampton, Haskins and Ogbonnia from Injured Reserve; Make Other Roster Moves Before Monday Night Football

The Los Angeles Chargers today activated running back Omarion Hampton, running back Hassan Haskins and defensive lineman Otito Ogbonnia from Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return. To make space on the active roster, the team made a series of moves, placing tight end Tucker Fisk on Reserve/Injured and waiving defensive lineman Naquan Jones and running back Jaret Patterson. The Bolts also elevated wide receiver Dalevon Campbell from the practice squad for Monday's game.

The team's first-round selection this season (No. 22 overall), Hampton started each of the team's first five games in 2025, totaling 314 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns on 66 attempts (4.8 avg.). He added 20 receptions for 136 yards (6.8 avg.). The North Carolina product recorded his first 100-yard rushing game as a pro in Week 4, totaling 128 rushing yards, including a 54-yard touchdown, while averaging 10.7 yards per carry.

Hampton finished his career at North Carolina as one of the most prolific running backs in college football, ranking No. 2 in the nation over the last two years with 3,164 rushing yards. He was the only back in the nation to eclipse at least 1,500 rushing yards and 15 rushing scores in both 2023 and 2024, earning Associated Press second-team All-America and first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition each year. Hampton totaled 19 100-yard rushing games, the third-most in the nation over his three-year career (2022-24). The Clayton, N.C., native was a two-time finalist for the Doak Walker Award (2023-24), which annually recognizes college football's top running back. He owns two of the three 1,500-yard rushing seasons in program history and finished his Tar Heels career ranked No. 4 in career rushing yards (3,565), and No. 3 in career rushing touchdowns (36).

Haskins entered the NFL as a fourth-round selection (131st overall) by Tennessee in 2022 before joining the Bolts in 2024. Over his career, Haskins has posted for 212 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns on 71 attempts (3.0 avg.), while adding 18 receptions for 119 yards (6.6 avg) and a touchdown. He has been a valuable contributor on special teams, recording 26 career tackles on special teams, including 13 while with the Chargers.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Haskins played for Head Coach Jim Harbaugh at the University of Michigan from 2018-21. Haskins was a team captain as a senior, going on that year to earn third-team All-America and first-team All-Big Ten honors from The Associated Press as a senior after tying for No. 4 in the nation with 20 rushing touchdowns. Over his career in Ann Arbor, Mich., Haskins appeared in 33 games, recording 2,324 yards and 30 touchdowns on 452 carries (5.1 avg.) along with 24 catches for 171 yards.

A fourth-year defensive lineman, Ogbonnia (pronounced oh-TEET-oh oh-BONE-yuh) has started 21-of-37 career games for the Chargers, including the postseason. He started all 17 regular-season contests and the AFC Wild Card matchup last season for the Bolts, totaling 37 tackles (14 solo) and three quarterback hits. Over his pro career, Ogbonnia has registered 73 tackles (38 solo), a tackle for loss and five quarterback hits.

Ogbonnia was a fifth-round selection (160th overall) by the Bolts in the 2022 NFL Draft out of UCLA, where he appeared in 43 career games and totaled 79 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss. He started all 12 games for the Bruins in 2021 along the defensive line, earning second-team All-Pacific-12 honors from Pro Football Focus and an invite to the Reese's Senior Bowl. Ogbonnia earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll seven times and also competed for the Bruins track and field team in the shot put and discus throw in the 2018-19 season, competing in the NCAA Championships and the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships

Campbell, who spent the offseason and training camp with the Bolts, saw action in a pair of games early in the season with the Carolina Panthers. Campbell capped his collegiate career at South Carolina in 2024 after having spent a pair of years at Nevada (2022-23) and three seasons at Illinois (2019-21), redshirting for the Illini in 2019. In 60 career games, he made 21 starts and totaled 88 catches for 1,471 yards (16.7 avg.) and three touchdowns. Campbell earned honorable mention All-Mountain West recognition in 2023 after hauling in 31 passes for 594 yards (19.2 avg.) and a pair of touchdowns. With the Gamecocks last season, he led the team with a 26.0-yard receiving average.
