On who he patterns his game off of…
"Joe Staley. Being a West Michigan guy, he's from Rockford, went to Central Michigan, now he's a Pro Bowler. It's good watching a guy from a small town like me in Michigan now be this stud tackle in the NFL. I couldn't think of a better guy to watch that I would like to emulate."
On his priorities preparing for Combine….
"Right now drop some weight. Just work on the speed aspect, work on the 40, get a little quicker fast-twitch stuff. Also a ton of bench to get the reps up."
On moving to right tackle….
"I think quite a few teams (see me) possibly playing the right side, and see how it goes into camp. A lot of teams have projected at least starting off at that right side.'

On his leadership style….
"I've always been the kind of guy that wanted to walk the walk before I talked the talk, so to say. By leading by example, I think you can earn the trust of other people. This year was a big step for me. I tried to become more of a vocal leader, which isn't always easy to do unless you're kind of just given that talent. I'm always evolving. I think we're always evolving into new leadership; it's never something that you can attain overnight. I always want to be more of a vocal leader, but at the same time, you've got to do the right things on and off the field to earn player's trust."
On his interview approach….
"I kind of take it back to Coach (Nick) Saban, who has one of the best media departments in college football. They train us from day one on how to be professional in the media, and I've kind of just taken that approach. I haven't really done anything extraordinary that's gotten me to this point so far, so (I) figure just keep working."
On being a potential first round pick…
"This is just a great opportunity, and you can only control what you can control. As far as (where) I'm going to go, I'm going to do the best I can whether it be in the interviews, psychology, on the field stuff; just give it everything I have. At the end of the day, if I leave it all on the field, I have no regrets whether a team drafts me or not."

On if Notre Dame's blocking schemes lend itself to the NFL…
"I believe so. We had a great offensive line coach and he really taught us great fundamentals and things that translate to any offense that you could be put into."
On what he hopes to sell to teams….
"My passion (for) football. I don't think many people know how important football is to me and how big of a role it's played throughout my life. I think there's a big aura of people thinking I'm lackadaisical, I guess. I don't know, but I'm just really trying to show people how much football means to me and how much I do care about it."
On when he's at his best….
"I would say I'm always at my best at whatever I'm feeling at the time. I always refocus myself to know what's important during that play. That's when you need to be at your best every single play. That's my focus."
Ole Miss T Laremy Tunsil
On possibility of playing for Chargers…
"Actually I would love to go to the Chargers. Like I said, I would love to play for any team. I haven't talked to them but hopefully I will."
On why he's the best tackle in the draft….
"I think I have the great feet, the great frame. I just think I'm the best. You've got to have that swagger about yourself. You've got to be confident. Everywhere you go you've got to have that confidence."
On where he needs to improve….
"Being vocal. I'm so shy. I'm a shy guy, man. I'm working on being more vocal, the main thing."
