Military Hero of the Week: Troy "Doc" Ulshoeffer

HM1(FMF/EXW) Troy "Doc" Ulshoeffer has served in the US Navy for over 14 years.

His service includes tours to Afghanistan and Iraq. Troy is currently a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman for Quebec Battery, 5th Battalion, 14th Marines stationed at Buckley, Air Force Base in Aurora, CO.

Troy's accolades include 2 Army Commendation Medals, 8 Navy achievement Medals, Combat Action Ribbon, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom Campaign Medals and 3 Meritorious Outstanding Volunteer Service Medals just to name a few.

Troy has also been recognized in his career as "Sailor of the Year" at his command in Pensacola, FL.

Troy actively volunteers his time to combat Human Trafficking and raised over $3000 for Hurricane Harvey victims. Troy took vacation time to drive down to Houston and assist in recovery efforts for 10 days after the disaster. He provided medical attention to locals and helped rescue 17 individuals via boat that were stranded in their homes.
