The Los Angeles Chargers added new blood Sunday morning, signing guard Erick Wren on the second day of training camp. The 6-1, 306-pound Wren attended the Bolts’ rookie minicamp in early May as a non-contract participant.
Wren went undrafted in April following a noteworthy three-year career at Oklahoma. He started 24 of the 29 games he appeared in for the Sooners, including all 14 contests at center in 2017 when he was named an All-Big 12 First Team selection by the league’s coaches. The former walk-on was an honorable mention pick in 2016, surrendering only one sack in 518 snaps as a junior.
