The Los Angeles Chargers filled their vacancy on the practice squad by bringing back former cornerback Channing Stribling, who spent the summer with the Bolts before being waived during final roster reductions.

The 6-2, 188-pound cornerback appeared in all four preseason games with the Chargers, totaling seven tackles while showcasing blanket coverage throughout the summer. Stribling entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns following a standout career at Michigan. He appeared in 47 games with 18 starts over his career as a Wolverine, recording 68 tackles, four tackles for loss, 22 passes defensed and six interceptions with one pick-six. Stribling served several stints on practice squads in 2017 for the Browns, Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers.

Stribling takes the place of LB D’Juan Hines, who was signed to the Browns’ active roster on Saturday.
