2016 Draft Order Officially Set for Chargers

With the San Diego Chargers picking third in the 2016 NFL Draft, here are the most recent players selected number three overall.

Following the awarding of compensatory picks, the official 2016 draft order has been set. The San Diego Chargers hold a total of eight selections, and should they use them all, it would mark the most players drafted since 2011.

San Diego holds a pick in each round after they awarded a compensatory selection in the fifth round.  The Chargers traded their own fifth round selection in this year's draft last year to the San Francisco 49ers to move up to draft Melvin Gordon.  The Bolts will pick twice in the sixth round as they traded OL Jeremiah Sirles to the Minnesota Vikings for their selection (198).

Here is when the Chargers are officially scheduled to be on the clock:

Round 1 – 3rd overall
Round 2 – 35th overall
Round 3 – 66th overall
Round 4 – 102nd overall
Round 5 – 175th overall (compensatory)
Round 6 – 179th overall
Round 6 – 198th overall (via Minnesota)
Round 7 – 224th overall
