The Los Angeles Chargers on Friday agreed to terms with defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson.
Here are five things to know about Tomlinson:
1. Plenty of experience
Tomlinson joins the Chargers with tons of NFL experience under his belt.
The 6-foot-3, 335-pound defensive lineman most recently spent time with the Cardinals last season, playing in all 17 games during his ninth NFL season.
In total, Tomlinson has played and started in 142 games during his career, racking up 20.0 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and 70 quarterback hits.
He's also started two playoff games during his career and missed just seven games over his nine years, becoming a dependable player at each stop.
2. Previous stops
Prior to his year in Arizona, Tomlinson made an impact with a pair of seasons in both Cleveland and Minnesota.
The defensive lineman spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons with the Browns, racking up 3.0 sacks each year. He also tallied 30 quarterback hits over two seasons and was a force in the run game.
He formed part of a Browns defense in 2023 that ranked first in the NFL in total defense by allowing only 270.2 yards per game and made the playoffs.
Before Cleveland, his time with the Vikings also saw a lot of success.
He was a big part of their interior once again and logging 5.5 sacks and racking up 38 run stops over his two years in Minnesota.
According to Pro Football Focus, Tomlinson ranked in the top 20 among qualified defensive tackles in overall defense grade in each of his two years with the team.

3. Time in the Big Apple
Tomlinson began his career in New York, where he worked his way to becoming a reliable veteran.
He was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft with the 55th overall pick by the Giants and earned a starting spot from the jump.
It didn't take long for the defensive lineman to become a force, earning PFWA All-Rookie Team honors for an impactful rookie season.
Tomlinson spent the first four seasons of his career with the Giants, notching career highs in sacks with 3.5 in both 2019 and 2020 and totaling 76 pressures during his time with the team.
4. National Champion
The veteran's collegiate career saw a ton of success.
Tomlinson was a part of two National Title winning teams at Alabama, the 2012 BCS National Championship team and the 2015 CFP National Championship squad.
While he was redshirted in the first, he played a key depth role in his second as he led the team with six pass breakups from a down lineman and added 34 total tackles.
His final season with the Crimson Tide was his best, however, as he collected 62 total tackles, 55 of them coming on run plays, and three sacks as he helped them get back to the National Championship.
5. Going viral this offseason
Tomlinson was a part of a viral clip that made the rounds on social media earlier this offseason.
While on vacation in Japan with Cardinals defensive lineman L.J. Collier, a person asked to take pictures of them for their account, not knowing they were football players.
Tomlinson and Collier agreed, as the great interaction was captured and made the rounds on social media.
