The Los Angeles Chargers on Friday signed center Tyler Biadasz.
Here are five things to know about Biadasz:
1. Time in Washington
Biadasz joins the Chargers after two seasons as the Commanders starting center.
The 28-year-old joined Washington in the 2024 free agency period and started 31 regular-season games he played for them, in addition to three playoff games.
He logged over 900 offensive snaps each season and allowed four total sacks and no quarterback hits over the last two seasons, according to Pro Football Focus.
2. An impressive career
The center's first year in Washington saw them go on quite a run.
Biadasz was a part of the Commanders team that went all the way to the NFC Championship game, a turnaround for the team in quarterback Jayden Daniels' rookie season.
That season he allowed just one sack the entire year and was called for just three penalties. His 18 pressures allowed were the eighth-fewest among centers with at least 400 snaps.
He was also a key figure in the Commanders finishing the year averaging the third-most rushing yards at 154.1 yards per game and 4.98 yards per rush, good for fourth-best in the NFL.

3. Former Pro Bowler
Biadasz has a Pro Bowl accolade under his name in his six seasons as a pro.
He was named to the 2022 NFC Pro Bowl squad for the first time in his career after a strong season in Dallas.
A fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft (No. 146 overall) by the Cowboys, Biadasz spent his first four seasons in Dallas.
He totaled 61 games played in his four years there and started 53 of them.
4. Rimington Trophy winner
The center enjoyed a successful collegiate career in his home state of Wisconsin.
A three-year starter for the Badgers, he started at center in all 41 games of career and was a team captain during the 2019 season.
In 2019, Biadasz became the school's first Rimington Trophy winner in school history. The award is given to the best center in college football. He was also just the second consensus First-tTam All-America center school history.
He played a massive part in two-time Doak Walker Award winner Jonathan Taylor becoming the first player in FBS history to rush for 6,000 yards in just three seasons during his time with the school.
5. Wisconsin HS star
Before Biadasz was strictly a big part of the offensive trenches, he spent his high school years dominating on both sides of the ball.
He earned First-Team All-State honors as a defensive lineman during his time at Amherst High School in addition to two-time honorable mention all-state selections.
Biadasz earned the state of Wisconsin's most outstanding senior defensive lineman award after posting 70 tackles, 7.0 sacks, five forced fumbles and an interception in his final year.
