The Los Angeles Chargers today agreed to terms with guard Cole Strange on a multi-year contract.

Strange brings over 40 games of NFL experience to the Bolts, starting 43-of-44 career games with New England and Miami. He is reunited with Chargers Offensive Coordinator Mike McDaniel and Offensive Line Coach Butch Barry, who Strange played for in Miami during the 2025 season, starting 14 games for the Dolphins. Strange helped block for running back De'Von Achane earn Pro Bowl recognition last year after registering 1,350 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on season. Originally the No. 29 overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, Strange started all 17 games as a rookie, helping block for running back Rhamondre Stevenson to record a career-high 1,040 rushing yards and add five touchdown runs.

Over five seasons at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga (2017-21), Strange played in 48 career games, starting 44 contests along the offensive line. He earned Southern Conference Male Athlete of the Year and Associated Press third-team All-America recognition as a senior, helping pave the way for the offense to average 205.5 rushing yards per game. Strange was a three-time All-Southern Conference selection (one first-team, two second-team), and twice won the Jacobs Blocking Award, which annually recognizes the top offensive lineman in the Southern Conference (2020-21).
