The Chargers just keep winning.
Here's what you need to know about the Bolts ahead of Week 17.
1. What happened in Week 16?
Perhaps it's time to start thinking the Chargers as serious playoff contenders.
Because that's exactly what they looked like in Sunday's 34-17 road win over the Cowboys.
With two regular-season games left, anything feels possible for the Bolts, and Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh gave all the credit to his players on Sunday.
"Our team is played-led, player-driven. This was a player-led win," Harbaugh said. "Coaching is good, coaching matters. But the players who are the ones leading this team."
He later added: "Our best playmakers and are our leaders are also the guys who work the hardest, care the most about the team. It's unselfish."
Justin Herbert led the way Sunday by throwing for 300 yards and two touchdown, one to Quentin Johnston and another to Ladd McConkey.
The Chargers quarterback also ran for a score while Omarion Hampton also found the end zone on the ground.
The Bolts put up a season-high 452 yards of offense while their 34 points were their second-most of the season.
Defensively, the Chargers struggled in the first half against a potent Cowboys offense before shutting Dallas out in the final two quarters.
Tuli Tuipulotu notched his 13th sack of the year and also recovered a fumble forced by Derwin James, Jr.
As the calendar turns to late December, the Bolts are simply playing their best ball of the season.
"That's all you can ask for, where we're playing meaningful football in December and a lot of teams aren't," Herbert said.
2. What is the Chargers record?
The Chargers are now 11-4 and have nearly locked up a playoff spot with two games left to play.
The Bolts, who have now won seven of their past eight games, are second place in the AFC West and one of five AFC teams with at least 11 wins.
The Chargers have now won at least 11 games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2006 and 2007.
The Broncos lost Sunday to drop to 12-3 as Denver saw their 11-game win streak come to a halt.
And don't look now, but the Chargers are still alive for the AFC West title. In fact, the Chargers would secure the division crown by winning their final two games, a feat that might also get the Bolts the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
The Chiefs, already eliminated from playoff contention, fell on the road to the Titans and are 6-9. The Raiders dropped to 2-13 with Sunday's loss to the Texans.
3. Who stood out in the win?
Johnston racked up four catches for 104 receiving yards — his first 100-yard game of the season — to lead the Chargers offense with a 90.5 overall offensive grade from Pro Football Focus. That is the highest PFF grade of Johnston's career.
Herbert also thrived in Week 16 with an 88.1 PFF grade, which was his second-highest mark of the season.
Herbert aired it out Sunday as he completed 10 of 13 passes for 209 yards and two scores on throws past the sticks against the Cowboys.
Defensively, James led the way with a PFF grade of 92.0, which was his highest grade of the season.
"Great team win," Harbaugh said.
4. What are the Chargers playoff odds?
The Chargers didn't clinch a postseason spot with Sunday's win in Dallas and also couldn't get help from Las Vegas as Houston's win prevented the Bolts from clinching.
But the Chargers can clinch a playoff spot on Monday night if the Colts lose or tie with the 49ers.
The Chargers are currently in a playoff spot as the No. 5 seed and first Wild Card team in the AFC playoff picture.
The first two Wild Card teams — Chargers and Bills — each sit at 11-4, but the Chargers are the fifth seed because of better conference record (8-2 vs. Buffalo's 8-3 mark).
The Texans are currently the No. 7 seed with a 10-5 record.
According to The Athletic, the Chargers have greater than a 99 percent chance to make the playoffs. NFL Next Gen Stats also has the Bolts postseason chances at greater than 99 percent while ESPN has those odds at 99 percent.
5. Who is the Week 17 opponent?
You ready for a playoff rematch?
The Chargers will now be on a short week as they host the Houston Texans in Week 17, with kickoff from SoFi Stadium is at 1:30 p.m. (PT).
The Texans earned a 23-21 win over the Raiders on Sunday and have now won seven games in a row.
The Chargers and Texans met in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs in January.
