Recently the Chargers hosted our annual trunk-or-treat for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation at Hoag Performance Center. Players, patients, and their families were taken through a safari extravaganza with candy at every stop! Afterwards, all guests were able to enjoy a night full of bingo, puppies, face-painting, balloon animals, chatting with players, and more!

The Chargers and Hoag Cancer Institute partnered to host a breathwork and meditation class for breast cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. Joined by players Derwin James Jr. and Nick Niemann, the group was welcomed to Hoag Performance Center to enjoy a morning of relaxation and mindfulness leading up to the team's annual Crucial Catch game.

The Chargers visited California Medical Facility to observe Chargers Pup, River, in training and meet with prison administration and Paws for Life K9 Rescue dog trainers. Beginning in 2020, the Chargers Pup program has followed a service animal in training to highlight the importance of these dogs for people with disabilities. River is specifically being trained to become a service animal for a military Veteran with PTSD and will be the face of the team's animal welfare work this season.

Recently the Chargers celebrated our graduates of the Bolt Academy, an innovative career training and leadership program. The graduates had the great opportunity to see what it means to work for the Chargers on game days thanks to partnerships with the Chargers Impact Fund, Brotherhood Crusade, Inglewood Unified School District, and SoFi.

Chargers players Sebastian Joseph-Day, JT Woods, Ja'Sir Taylor, and more spent the morning packing lunches for 122nd Street Elementary School kids in South LA to launch the Chargers Community Hunger and Relief program. Watch as Sebastian Joseph-Day presents 750 kids with their take home lunch bags and signs autographs for young Chargers fans.

The Chargers held their third annual Nike 11-On event at Hoag Performance Center, in which boys and girls prep football programs from all over southern California came together to compete in challenges, go through drills, and receive guidance from renowned coaches, players, and special guest quarterback Easton Stick.

Chargers stars including Justin Herbert and Derwin James, Jr., legends including LaDainian Tomlinson, and many more gathered at Rolling Hills Country Club for the 4th Annual Chargers Invitational benefitting the Los Angeles Chargers Impact Fund.

The Chargers celebrated the start of San Diego Unified School District's middle school flag football season by welcoming nearly 200 students for a skills and drills camp, with Chargers legend Corey Liuget on hand to support the kids.

In partnership with Gilead Sciences, the Chargers hosted a sports medicine symposium to give local high school students interested in sports medicine and athletic training an opportunity to meet with professionals and learn more about the field, as well as get a tour of the team facility led by offensive guard Zion Johnson. The Chargers unveiled a newly-renovated play yard at the East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys, allowing dogs at the shelter the opportunity to play together outside their kennels and meet prospective adopters.

CIF is expected to vote Friday to make girls flag football an official high school sport in California, less than a week after the sport's championship tournament at Redondo Union High School, sponsored by the Chargers in partnership with Gatorade and Nike.

The Chargers, in collaboration with Ducommun, Inc. and UC Irvine, hosted the 5th annual "STEM on the Sidelines," an engineering challenge for high school students in Southern California. The Chargers Impact Fund, in partnership with the Bikes For Kids Foundation and Pechanga, celebrated the holidays by giving away about 150 brand new bikes to second and third-graders at Mayo Elementary School in Compton. Khalil Mack, Cameron Dicker, and others were on hand to surprise the kids.

The Bolts Community Crew – powered by Pacific Premier Bank – partnered with the Jessie Rees Foundation to host a staff volunteer day at the Chargers' facility. Players including Rashawn Slater, Zion Johnson, Drue Tranquill, Dustin Hopkins, Donald Parham Jr., Christian Covington, and Zach Bailey volunteered alongside front office staff members to pack over 300 JoyJars that will be delivered to pediatric cancer patients. Safety Derwin James, Jr. visited Jordan High School in Los Angeles to present a newly renovated weight room and Oakley sunglasses to the school's football team.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen joined rapper Snoop Dogg for Snoop Special Stars Camp, a program which provides children with special needs with a safe place where they can play sports. Allen stopped by the camp in LA to coach the kids and even learn a few of their dance moves.

The Chargers held a Chargers PREP Youth Football Camp through the Chargers Impact Fund, SkyOne Federal Credit Union, and Sonesta Hotels. The camp guided participants through technique drills and culminated in a tournament between the teams. Chargers players Donald Parham, Matt Feiler, Christian Covington and more served as special guests, helping coach the athletes and signing autographs after the camp.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the Chargers and Nike collaborated to hold a pilot girls flag football season for eight high schools across Los Angeles. The season included custom Nike jerseys for each team, a behind the scenes tour of SoFi Stadium, and a tournament culminating in a championship held at the Super Bowl Experience at downtown LA on Super Bowl weekend.

The Los Angeles Chargers Impact Fund and WGU teamed up to hold a First Downs for First Books distribution and reading at Kelso Elementary in Inglewood in celebration of Black History Month.

The Chargers joined forces with Oakley, Find Your Grind Foundation and safety Derwin James for the opening of a new and improved South Park to provide a safe and quality space for LA youth to practice their sport.

The Bolts partnered with Ball Corporation and Inner-City Arts to host a gameday gallery of 100% recyclable art during all Chargers home games at SoFi Stadium. Each piece of art was created by a student involved in Inner-City Arts, a nonprofit that provides quality art instruction for kids from underserved communities.

An innovative career training and leadership program, Bolt Academy has had a successful launch this past season. With the partnership between the Chargers Impact Fund, Brotherhood Crusade, Inglewood Unified School District, and SoFi, the students had the great opportunity to work on game days and make an impact in the Inglewood community!

Ms. B's M&M Soul Food, located in Inglewood, was struggling to pay rent after their rent doubled and food costs rose during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the Chargers heard about their story, they stepped up and hired Ms. B's to feed their entire team following the Bolts matchup against the Minnesota Vikings to show their support for local businesses.

The Chargers honored Hailey Morinico as their Hometown Hero for Week 17 of the 2021 NFL season. When a bear came into her backyard and got too close to her family's dogs, Hailey pushed the bear off the ledge to save them. Presented by Grant Thornton.

After a virtual competition last season, local Southern California high schools competed in the 2021 STEM on the Sidelines™ competition presented by Ducommun Inc. at SoFi Stadium.

The Los Angeles Chargers partnered with Trina's Kids Foundation in its 8th annual toy drive to fill the SoFi Stadium field from goal-line to goal-line with toys for select families to pick up. In addition to toys, the Bolts also provided other essential items and gifts for the families to help make the holiday season a little easier.

The Chargers honored Neveah Henrich as their Hometown Hero for Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season. Neveah helped save the life of her friend's mother after she began choking by instructing those around her how to do the Heimlich maneuver until first responders arrived. Presented by Grant Thornton.

The Chargers honored Bodie Chapman as their Hometown Hero for Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season. Bodie saved the life of a senior citizen who was unconscious after a car crash by performing CPR until paramedics arrived. Presented by Grant Thornton.

Center Corey Linsley has been selected as the Chargers' nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, presented by Nationwide, which recognizes a player's excellence both on the field and in the community. Corey has spent much of his NFL career serving with CASA, a national association that provides court-appointed special advocates for children in Child Protective Services.

The Chargers celebrated Thanksgiving in a big way through their 7th annual turkey giveaway to families in need. Players Uchenna Nwosu, Michael Davis, Justin Jones and more joined over 200 volunteers outside SoFi Stadium to distribute frozen turkeys, fresh produce and other Thanksgiving necessities to 2,500 local families.

The Chargers honored Deputy Sheriff Justin Reed as their Hometown Hero for Week 11 of the NFL season. Justin rescued a woman from a car accident moments before the car burst into flames.

At the 8th annual Warm the Streets event in Inglewood, California, the Spanos family, Chargers, and American Airlines, partnered with A Step to Freedom to distribute blankets and amenity kits to people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.

The Chargers' very own Bolt begins his journey in training to become a service dog through the partnership with the Canine Companions, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of disabled people. Sponsored by Lazy Dog.

The Chargers honored Koz Khosravani as their Hometown Hero for Week 10 of the NFL season. Koz rescued a woman who was lost at sea for 12 hours.

At the kickoff event for the Chargers First Down, First Books program, the Chargers Impact Fund, along with Owner Alexis Ruhl and Outside Linebacker Chris Rumph II, visited The Wallis Annenberg PetSpace where kids from The Boys and Girls Club in Metro LA read to dogs awaiting adoption.

The Chargers honored Raimen Horn as their Hometown Hero for Week 5 of the 2021 NFL season. Raimen risked his life to save a woman from being stabbed at a youth football game.
