Here are five things to know about Terrell:

1. Recently in Arizona

Terrell is most recently coming off his third season in Arizona.

The 34-year-old was named the Cardinals Passing Game Coordinator/wide receivers coach in 2023 and has held the role the past three years.

The Cardinals averaged the seventh-most passing yards per game (232.6) this past year, including a 452-yard outburst in mid-November.

Tight end Trey McBride logged the second-most receptions this year (126) and was sixth overall with 1,239 receiving yards.

Terrell helped coach rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in 2024 as he tied the Cardinals franchise rookie record for touchdown catches (eight) and finished with the second-most receptions and receiving yards (62 for 885) by a rookie in team history.

2. Time spent in Washington

Terrell's time with the Commanders helped propel him in the NFL.

He was hired as an assistant wide receivers coach in 2020 and was then wide receivers coach in 2021 and 2022.

During his time in Washington, he was able to help Terry McLaurin to three consecutive 1,000+ yard receiving seasons and a Pro Bowl selection in 2022.

3. Early coaching under Harbaugh

One of Terrell's earlier coaching opportunities when he was starting out was with none other than Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.

After a year as a graduate assistant at Virginia Tech, Terrell spent three years in that same role at Michigan from 2015 to 2017.

He spent those three years with emphasis on coaching receivers, cornerbacks and returners for the Wolverines.

4. Former All-Conference player

Before getting his start in coaching, Terrell was a student-athlete himself under Harbaugh at Stanford.

Terrell was with the Cardinal from 2009 to 2012, two years under Harbaugh.

He earned honorable mention All-Pac 12 honors as a returner three times (2010-12) and posted a breakout season as a senior, leading the team with 33 receptions for 463 yards and four TDs while adding 291 return yards.

5. Experience while in Arizona

Terrell got a couple of experiences outside of the Cardinals during his time there.

He was selected to participate in the NFL's Coach Accelerator program in May of 2023 at the NFL's Spring Meeting in Minneapolis, the program created to help promote greater diversity across the league.

The following year, he was also selected serve as an offensive coordinator for the East team at the 2024 Shrine Bowl.
