Predicting the Chargers 2025 Season Schedule

250505_SchedulePredict

The Chargers 2025 schedule will be released next week.

The Chargers 2025 opponents include home games against the Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Colts, Texans, Commanders, Eagles, Steelers and Vikings.

The Bolts will also visit the Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Jaguars, Titans, Cowboys, Giants and Dolphins.

As a reminder, the Chargers play in Brazil to open the 2025 season.

With that in mind, let's have some fun with it as I try to guess the Chargers 2025 schedule.

Here is my prediction:

Week 1: Chargers vs. Texans (in São Paulo, Brazil)

Friday, Sept. 5

The Bolts open the 2025 season against the team they saw in the 2024 playoffs. The stage in São Paulo is set with a juicy quarterback matchup between Justin Herbert and C.J. Stroud, plus a pair of stingy defenses.

Week 2: Chargers at Raiders (Monday Night Football)

Monday, Sept. 15

The Chargers opener at SoFi Stadium will have to wait. But a primetime early-season AFC West matchup with the Raiders? And more coaching battles between Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll? Sign us up for that.

Week 3: Chargers vs. Steelers

Sunday, Sept. 21

The Chargers see the Steelers in Week 3 for the second straight year. But this time it's a at SoFi Stadium for the Bolts home opener. Get ready for another defensive slugfest.

Week 4: Chargers at Cowboys

Sunday, Sept. 28

The Bolts close out the first quarter of the 2025 season at Jerry World with a date with the Cowboys.

Week 5: Chargers vs. Vikings

Sunday, Oct. 5

Games between these two teams are always a little wacky and weird. (Trust me, I know). Harbaugh goes against Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who helped get him a national title at Michigan.

Week 6: Chargers at Jaguars

Sunday, Oct. 12

The first of three lengthy road trips for the Chargers in 2025, the Bolts get will get a look at ultra-athlete Travis Hunter early in his rookie season.

Week 7: BYE WEEK

Sunday, Oct. 19

With the Hall of Fame Game and Brazil on the docket, the Chargers will be in need of a break before the playoff push begins.

Week 8: Chargers vs. Chiefs (Sunday Night Football)

Sunday, Oct. 26

The Chargers always play the Chiefs close. Is this the year the Bolts potentially challenge Kansas City for the division crown?

Week 9: Chargers at Broncos

Sunday, Nov. 2

The Bolts wrap up back-to-back AFC West games with a matchup against one of their fiercest rivals. With both teams seemingly on the rise, this one could have playoff implications come January.

Week 10: Chargers at Giants

Sunday, Nov. 9

The second long road trip on the schedule, the Bolts head to the Big Apple. Will Herbert unleash another magical touchdown pass against the Giants?

Week 11: Chargers vs. Eagles (Sunday Night Football)

Sunday, Nov. 16

The defending champs come to town for a primetime showdown. This will be great test of where the Chargers stand in their vision to win in the trenches.

Week 12: Chargers at Titans

Sunday, Nov. 23

It feels like the Titans are in the AFC West considering these teams will meet for the fourth straight season. The Bolts defenses goes up against No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward.

Week 13: Chargers vs. Raiders

Sunday, Nov. 30

The Chargers wrap up their season series against the Raiders by December. The storyline of first-round running backs (Omarion Hampton and Ashton Jeanty) will be fun to follow.

Week 14: Chargers vs. Colts (Thursday Night Football)

Thursday, Dec. 4

The Chargers are at home against the Colts on a short week. This could be a sneaky battle between possible AFC playoff contenders.

Week 15: Chargers at Dolphins

Sunday, Dec. 14

The third and final long road trip of the year. This is when the Chargers will want to be starting to round into peak form for a potential postseason berth.

Week 16: Chargers vs. Commanders

Sunday, Dec. 21

Keep an eye on this one as one of the most intriguing games of the year between two exciting quarterbacks.

Week 17: Chargers at Chiefs (Sunday Night Football)

Sunday, Dec. 28

Could the AFC West be on the line here? Arrowhead in primetime is among the NFL's best atmospheres.

Week 18: Chargers vs. Broncos

Sunday, Jan. 4

The Chargers close out the regular season against Denver. We didn't put it in primetime, but it's certainly a flex candidate given the possible playoff scenarios.

Single game tickets for the 2025-26 season will be available once the schedule has been released. Fill out the form below to be notified when the Chargers 2025 schedule is released on Wednesday, May 14th.
