Get your calendars ready.

The 2025 NFL schedule will be out soon and will include the full Chargers schedule for Year 2 under Jim Harbaugh.

Here is what you need to know about the 2025 schedule release:

When will the schedule be released?

The 2025 NFL schedule will be revealed on Wednesday, May 14 at 5 p.m. (PT).

The league officially announced the news during Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Who are the Chargers 2025 opponents?

The Chargers will play a 17-game season in 2025.

Here are the scheduled Chargers 2025 opponents:

Home: Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Colts, Texans, Commanders, Eagles, Steelers and Vikings.

Road: Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Jaguars, Titans, Cowboys, Giants and Dolphins.

Why do they play those teams?

The Chargers will have their usual six games against AFC West foes, with home and away games against the Broncos, Chiefs and Raiders.

The Bolts are also slated to play two other divisions — the AFC South and the NFC East — based on a league-wide rotation that makes up eight games on the schedule.

The Chargers play the AFC South every three years, so the teams will all square off after doing so in 2022.

The difference is that home and away games from that season are switched. For example, the Bolts will host the Colts after traveling to Indianapolis three years ago.

The AFC West also plays the NFC East every four years so it's time for the Bolts go up against that division. Those home and away games also rotate, meaning the Chargers will travel to New York for the first time since 2017 after hosting the Giants in 2021.

The Chargers final three games are against teams that finished in the same spot in their respective divisions in 2024.

The Bolts will play a second-place schedule based on their 11-6 finish last season, which is why they were matched up against same-place finishers in Miami, Minnesota and Pittsburgh.

What about the Brazil game?

If you missed the news, the Chargers will play in Brazil to open the 2025 regular season.

While the opponent for the game has yet to be announced, the Bolts will play a Week 1 game in São Paulo on Friday, September 5.

The Chargers have been selected as the designated team for Brazil, meaning they will be the home team in São Paulo.

The Chargers and their unknown opponent will play at Arena Corinthians, which is in São Paulo and opened in May of 2014. The stadium has a seating capacity of 47,252, making it the 13th-largest stadium in Brazil.

Arena Corinthians is home to Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, a soccer team otherwise known as SC Corinthians.

What is the Bolts strength of schedule?

Based on the final records of teams in 2024, the Chargers are tied for the 11th toughest schedule this year.

The Bolts 2024 opponents combined to go 151-138 for a .522 winning percentage, which is the same strength of schedule as Kansas City.

All in all, the Chargers will play nine games in 2025 against playoff teams from a year ago, with seven of them classified as home games.

That group is made up of the Chiefs and Broncos (two games apiece), plus games against the Texans, Eagles, Commanders, Steelers and Vikings.

The Chargers will have tough matchups against the NFC East teams — the Eagles obviously won the Super Bowl and bested the Commanders in the NFC title game.

While the Chargers and Chiefs are tied for the toughest strength of schedule in the AFC West, the Broncos are 15th at 146-143. The Raiders, meanwhile, are 16th at 145-144.

Single game tickets for the 2025-26 season will be available once the schedule has been released. Fill out the form below to be notified when the Chargers 2025 schedule is released!
