3 Chargers Players to Watch Against Eagles in Week 14 on Monday Night Football

The Chargers are back in primetime as they take on the reigning Super Bowl Champions.

The Bolts will face the Eagles in Week 14 at SoFi Stadium on Monday Night Football. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. (PT).

Here are three players to watch on Monday:

1. CB Cam Hart

In a season that has been filled with them big tests, **Cam Hart** has another one in front of him.

The second-year cornerback has enjoyed another season of being disruptive in the secondary of the Chargers, logging seven passes defensed in 11 games, which matches his total from his rookie season and is second-most on the team.

He's been a particularly good corner on the outside when facing off against bigger, physical receivers, as Chargers Defensive Coordinator Jesse Minter gave him his praise earlier in the season.

"I call it 'Cam Hart football.' Just play Cam Hart football," Minter said after his Week 8 performance. "He's a press corner that when he's up there and he's confident, he can cover a lot of people in this league."

This week is another test with A.J. Brown coming to town.

Brown has hauled in 56 passes for 699 yards and six touchdowns and is coming into SoFi Stadium on a bit of a hot streak.

The 6-foot-1, 226-pound receiver had his season-high reception and yardage mark last week against the Bears with 10 receptions for 132 yards a week after having 110.

While Hart won't be on Brown exclusively, but the matchups between the two could be big moments of the game for the Chargers defense.

2. C Bradley Bozeman

Bradley Bozeman is coming off arguably his best game of the season.

The veteran center was a difference maker in the win over the Raiders, as he led all Chargers offensive lineman with a 82.6 Pro Football Focus pass-block grade, which was also good for eighth-best among centers in Week 13.

He also did not allow a pressure on the game and played 100 percent of the snaps once again, as the Bolts were able to win the trenches in the run and the pass.

"Brad Bozeman played one of his best games," Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh said this week.

Bozeman and the rest of the offensive line now await for an Eagles team that has one of the best defensive lines in the league.

Philadelphia could be without star defensive tackle Jalen Carter this week, meaning a bigger roles on the interior for Moro Ojomo and Jordan Davis.

Ojomo has logged 36 pressures this season on the interior, while Davis is tied for the fourth-most run stops among defensive linemen this year with 21.

The battle in the trenches will be one of the deciding factors in the game, and another big performance by Bozeman and the rest of the unit could go a long way.

"I think the O-Line, they really kind of got refocused coming off the week off," Roman said. "Bradley has played as many plays as anyone in the league ... he has played a ton of plays."

He later added: "That week off at this point of the year was big for those guys."

3. QB Trey Lance

The headline heading into Monday night is the status of Justin Herbert.

Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh announced after the game the starting quarterback suffered a broken bone in his left hand and underwent a procedure on Monday.

While the team and Herbert are hopeful and optimistic he could play, that means it falls upon Trey Lance if he doesn't, who played 10 snaps against the Raiders and won the backup quarterback job after a strong preseason.

Lance got the first team reps on Wednesday with Herbert not at practice and even if he doesn't get the start and Herbert plays, these reps could be crucial as he could have a role regardless.

Harbaugh laid out earlier in the week that because of this, Lance could have been an option on goal line and short-yardage situations against the Raiders, and could get reps in those scenarios this week depending on how Herbert progresses.

The backup quarterback is ready for whatever is asked of him.

"This is Justin's squad, Justin's team," Lance said. "If he's healthy enough to go, that's great, let's go find a way to win.

"I'm just going to continue do whatever I can to help the team win," Lance added.
