In honor and celebration of Black History Month, the Los Angeles Chargers and Inner-City Arts, a non-profit that offers a safe campus for students of all ages to harbor their talent for arts, teamed up for a very special virtual art showcase.

For this week's Takeout Tuesday, we spotlight Darrow's New Orleans Grill. CEO/President Norwood J. Clark Jr.' is a Louisiana native and cooking is in his DNA. In 2016, he opened Darrow's New Orleans Grill, a fast-casual restaurant serving Cajun and Creole delicacies like catfish, gumbo, po'boys, jambalaya and more.

In recognition of Read Across America day and Dr. Seuss' birthday, several Chargers players held virtual readings of "Oh The Places You'll Go" with students from Los Angeles as well as their own hometowns across America. This event also marked the culmination of the Chargers Impact Fund's First Downs for First Books program which raised $100 in books for every first down last season.

It was a call to action, and a promise to our fans, neighbors and region. After every successful field goal and PAT scored at SoFi Stadium, SoFi donated $1,000 to supporting the launch of Bolt Academy, a careers training and leadership development program created by Brotherhood Crusade and the Chargers Impact Fund, to provide opportunities to work for the Chargers on game days at SoFi Stadium in 2021.

In a special Pro Bowl Next Generations spotlight, Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa sits down with Alama Collins of Long Beach Wilson High School. Collins is a senior defensive end who was named Defensive Player of the Year in his school district in 2019.

Justin Jones and Jason Moore joined two fifth grade classrooms from MLK Elementary in Los Angeles Unified School District to read sections of the book, "Who Was Martin Luther King, Jr.?," and discuss Dr. King's life and legacy.

On Wednesday, December 16, the Bolts and Pepsi worked with the Inglewood Unified School District to host a safe and socially distanced donation at Hudnall Elementary in Inglewood. More than 100 families from the Inglewood community received Chargers blankets, Chargers beanies, a $100 grocery gift card, Pepsi beverages, and Frito Lay snacks.

The team partnered with Pechanga Resort Casino to donate over 200 bikes, locks, and helmets for kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro L.A.

For their final Hometown Hero of the 2020 NFL season, the Chargers honored Keisha Daniels for her work with Sisters of Watts, a nonprofit that's dedicated to serving underprivileged communities in Southern California, and especially for all her efforts through Sisters of Watts to provide relief to these communities during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
