Rodney Harrison Selected for Chargers Hall of Fame
One of the most feared safeties of his generation, Chargers legend Rodney Harrison, has been selected for the franchise's Hall of Fame. Watch as his former teammate and current LA Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh called to share the special news. Known for his toughness, leadership, competitive drive, & tireless work ethic, Harrison becomes the 36th player to receive the organization's highest honor and the 44th member overall. Harrison was drafted to the Bolts in the fifth round of the 1994 NFL Draft and went on to become a two-time Pro Bowler with the team in 1998 and 2001. In 1997, he became the first player in NFL history to score touchdowns via interception return, fumble return, and kickoff return in the same season. He finished his career with 30.5 sacks and 34 interceptions, becoming the first and still one of only two players, along with Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, with at least 30 sacks and 30 interceptions since sacks became an official stat in 1982. Harrison will be honored and officially inducted on October 23, 2025 when the Chargers host the Minnesota Vikings during Week 8 at SoFi Stadium. Get your tickets now!
