A pair of the NFL's Fan of the Year contests are back for another season.
The Chargers and the National Football League have announced that the application process has opened for the NFL "Fan of the Year" and "International Fan of the Year" contests.
In collaboration with all 32 teams, the contests celebrate the extraordinary fans who have inspired their family, friends, community and whose fandom, contributions to their team and connections to the game motivate others to join them.
Chargers fans can nominate themselves or their favorite duo for the Fan of the Year contest from now until September 29. After reviewing the submissions, each club will select a finalist that will win a trip for two to the Super Bowl, where one of the 32 finalists will be chosen as the ultimate Fan of the Year and announced during Super Bowl LX Week.
For the International Fan of the Year contest, Chargers fans will have until November 17 to nominate themselves. Upon review of the submissions, each team will select a finalist, who will also receive a trip to the 2026 NFL Draft, along with prizes and exclusive experiences during draft week. One of the 32 finalists will then be chosen as the winner and announced during draft week.
The International contest will be open this year to fans in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Ireland and New Zealand.
James Ebo was the Chargers 2024 Fan of the Year winner.
In 2023, the Chargers International Fan of the Year was Stephen Ruane for representing the Bolts all the way from Melbourne, Australia, and in 2024 it was Hector Molina, who represented the Chargers from Mexico.
