Los Angeles Chargers Announce 2019 Training Camp Schedule

The Los Angeles Chargers today announced 13 home practice dates that will be open to the public as part of the team's 2019 training camp schedule. Held once again at Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa, CA, 2019 Chargers Training Camp is open to the public and free of charge.

To attend training camp, fans may either pre-register for their free tickets at chargers.com/camp for the day(s) they plan to attend or register in person at the entrance to Jack Hammett Sports Complex. All bleacher seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Chargers report for camp the week of July 22 and will take the field for the first time at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25. As part of this year's training camp, for the first time, the Chargers will hold an evening practice on Monday, August 12 under the lights at Jack Hammett Sports Complex.

Additionally, the Bolts will once again hold joint practices during training camp – this year welcoming both the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints to Costa Mesa. The Chargers, who will be visiting Rams' camp on Saturday, August 3, will host the Rams on Thursday, August 1 before welcoming the Saints for a pair of joint practices on Thursday, August 15 and Friday, August 16 to conclude public training camp.

New for 2019, the Chargers will offer fans attending training camp a sneak preview of the team's new LA Stadium at Hollywood Park home – be it a virtual reality tour of the stadium, the ability to preview previously unreleased renderings or the opportunity to sample new food offerings scheduled to be available at the new stadium in 2020.

As in years past, training camp at Jack Hammett Sports Complex offers fans of any age the opportunity to watch the Bolts practice in person, cheer for their favorite players within feet of the field and participate in a variety of exciting activities for the entire family. Bleacher seating in 2019 is completely covered and, as previously mentioned, is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The larger standing room footprint on the fence-line in front of the bleachers, expanded interactive fan zones and designated picnic space all return for 2019, as does the massive Chargers merchandise and apparel tent that features a new, unique discounted item daily and all the latest in Bolts' gear.

In addition to rare access to an actual NFL practice, opportunities for fans in attendance include:

  • Greet players in the "Hi-Five Zone" prior to practice
  • Meet players after practice and receive autographs
  • Enjoy interactive games for all ages, face painting and special photo opportunities
  • Meet Charger Girls and Chargers alumni

Chargers broadcast partners – including ABC7, KFMB-TV, iHeartMedia Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego, and KFWB 980 AM La Mera Mera – will all broadcast from Training Camp practices. ABC7 will originate live segments of its newscast from Jack Hammett Sports Complex on select days and give fans the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes of a broadcast with the channel's unique, on-site pop-up news bureau. iHeartMedia Los Angeles will have popular personalities and shows from both the AM and FM dial in attendance throughout camp and will originate live programming from training camp on select days, and KFWB 980 – the most listened to AM music station in the country, in any language – will feature talent and live programming on-site in Costa Mesa.

Gates to Jack Hammett Sports Complex will open one hour before the start of each practice session. Parking is available at the OC Fair and Events Center parking lots off Arlington Drive for $10. Parking is valid for the entire day should fans wish to attend the OC Fair following practice. There will also be a dedicated location for rideshare service drop-off and pick-up adjacent to Jack Hammett Sports Complex.

Fans may bring their own food, water and soft drinks, however alcoholic beverages may not be brought into Jack Hammett Sports Complex at any time. Smoking is not allowed at Chargers Training Camp.

Fans are welcome to bring personal cameras and cell phones, but video cameras and telephoto lenses longer than six inches (detachable or non-detachable) are not allowed.
