The Chargers are 3-0 and among six teams who are undefeated early in the 2025 season.

Here are three key Chargers stats ahead of Week 4:

1. Justin Herbert's passing yards

Justin Herbert is playing at an MVP level through three games.

And the stats — both generic and advanced — back up that notion.

To start, Herbert leads the NFL in passing yards through three games with 860, and also has six touchdown passes to just one interception.

Herbert has never finished a season leading the league in this stat but finished second in both 2021 and 2022.

In terms of advanced metrics, the Chargers quarterback ranks in the Top 10 in EPA per play (0.169) and offensive success rate (50.4 percent). He's also seventh among quarterbacks with multiple starts with a 105.5 quarterback rating.

2. Keenan Allen approaches history

Through three games, Keenan Allen leads the Bolts with 19 receptions is tied for the team lead with three touchdown catches and is second with 194 receiving yards.

The veteran wide receiver has been as consistent as they come in 2025 as he is the only player with at least 60-plus receiving yards and at least one touchdown in each game so far.

Allen, who joined the Chargers in training camp, now has his sights set on history in Week 4 as he is just seven receptions away from 1,000 in his career.

Allen has 923 receptions with the Bolts and added 70 more in 2024 while he was with the Bears.

When Allen hits the century mark, he'll become the 16th player in NFL history to do so.

After that? Antonio Gates' franchise record of 955 career catches could be next for Allen.

3. Derwin James racks up TFLs

You probably noticed that Derwin James, Jr. lived in Denver's backfield on Sunday afternoon.

His final stat line was12 total tackles, including four tackles for loss, plus a quarterback hit and a sack.

But it is those TFLs that stand out, as the four James registered ended up being tied for the second-most in a game in NFL history.

James is currently tied for third in the NFL with five TFLs. But of the 19 defensive players who have at least four TFLs, James is the only defensive back among the group.
