The Bolts have added some beef up front.

The Chargers on Friday announced they have agreed to terms with Dalvin Tomlinson, a move that adds depth and durability to the defensive line room.

Tomlinson has played for four teams in his NFL career, most recently with the Cardinals in 2025. He also spent multiple seasons with the Giants, Vikings and Browns.

The 32-year-old, who was a 2017 second-round pick by New York, has played in 142 career games, starting all of them.

Tomlinson has been durable, too, missing just seven total games over his nine-year career.

As for his fit with the Chargers, look for Tomlinson to bring depth to the defensive tackle room, where he'll team up alongside Teair Tart, Jamaree Caldwell and Justin Eboigbe.

Tomlinson has mostly been known as a run-stopping defensive tackle in his career as he's listed at 6-foot-3 and 335 pounds.

But he can also give the Bolts something in the pass rush department, too, with as he does have 20.0 career sacks, including four seasons of at least 3.0 sacks.

Tomlinson is a veteran and steady player who should fit in nicely with the Bolts, especially under the tutelage of Mike Elston.

The Chargers defensive line coach seems to have a magic touch of sorts and has worked that unit into one of the defense's most consistent groups in the past two years despite not having star-studded names.

Tomlinson isn't a flashy player either, but he fits the mold of a tough, dependable and hard-nosed player that Chargers General Manager Joe Hortiz and Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh want on their roster.
