Everyone has a favorite part when it comes to the schedule announcement, which will be revealed this afternoon at 5:00pm PST.
Some immediately look to see who the team opens against, while others gravitate toward primetime games.
Many circle the dates the Chargers will play at home while others prefer to note when the Bolts face their division rivals
However, General Manager Tom Telesco always looks for one thing in particular when the schedule comes out, and for very good reason:
"I just look to see where the bye week is! When we are playing teams doesn't concern me as much as the bye. We will play anyone, anytime. It doesn't matter when or where. But I do always look for when the bye week is because that is when you start to determine the extra week you have to play with when you have injuries whether in the season or going into the season. It affects if you have players on PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) and so on, so that is what I look for first. And really, that is the only thing I look at right away."
