Vote Philip Rivers for FedEx Air Player of Week 2

With a gutsy performance in the team's home opener, Philip Rivers helped secure the Chargers' first victory of the season with a 38-14 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Number 17 completed 17 of 24 passes (70.8%) for 220 yards and four touchdowns. His four TD passes tied a career high, marking the eighth time in his career he reached that plateau. Rivers' two longest two touchdown passes were for 44 yards to Tyrell Williams and 45 yards to Travis Benjamin. The last time he threw two longer touchdown passes in the same game was in 2008 against the Denver Broncos.

Rivers' passer rating against the Jaguars was 138.9, improving San Diego's record to 22-0 in games when his rating is 130.0 or higher and 36-4 (.900) in games when his rating is 120.0 or higher. He also completed his 3,500th  career pass during the game in raising his career total to 3,504, which ranks 13th in NFL history.
