Travis Benjamin Nominated for Clutch Performance

Travis Benjamin exploded for two touchdowns in Week 7 versus the Denver Broncos. Take a look through the best photos of his impressive game.

Travis Benjamin delivered in a major way last week against the Denver Broncos.

As a result, the NFL announced on Tuesday that he's been nominated as the Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week.  The award is given to the "best performer or performance of the week that represents strength in key moments."

Benjamin more than fits the bill.

The speedster got the Bolts on the board first against the Broncos with a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown.  It marked the Chargers' first punt return for a TD since 2012, and ranked as the ninth-longest in franchise history.

As if that wasn't enough, Benjamin sealed the team's win with a 42-yard catch-and-run to the house on third down midway through the fourth quarter.  His second TD of the game gave the Chargers a three-score lead too insurmountable for Denver to overcome.

Benjamin faces stiff competition this week in the form of Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson and Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot.
