LOS ANGELES CHARGERS HEAD COACH ANTHONY LYNN

On WR Travis Benjamin:

"He was limited [in practice today]. He did some individual and that's about it. We're being really careful with him. He knows our offense. He's going to play on game day. We're just being careful with him."

On his feelings for Benjamin to contribute on Sunday:

"I'm very optimistic."

On if the team will have to see how Benjamin feels on Sunday:

"No doubt because — I'm not a doctor, but when you get out there in pre-game on Sunday and it doesn't look right, you may have to make some decisions."

On when Benjamin got hurt:

"It's just something that was sore. He's just been working through it. It just got to a point where it started to bother him a little bit."

On the depth at wide receiver:

"Well, you have Geremy Davis who was inactive last week. He could step up. He would be the first option [in the event that Benjamin can't go]. We have Andre Patton on the practice squad. We could activate him. We have some other guys that we can go to."

On WR JJ Jones potentially stepping up at receiver:

"JJ has a small role at the receiver position, but his main value right now is as a returner."

On T Joe Barksdale:

"That's still the same."

On the equipment staff:

"They're some of the hardest working guys in the building. They do an outstanding job — Chris Smith and his staff. I take my hat off to them. They have to take care of these guys in the locker room every single day. They have 63 guys that have to monitor and equip. They do a good job with that. [The players] have everything that they need."

On the importance of an efficient equipment staff:

"It's very important because we're traveling across the country. They have to make sure that we have the equipment that we need to go out and play."

On TE Hunter Henry:

"I'll tell you, he looked really good. He did some start-and-stop stuff, a little bit of change of direction. It's so soon. I was amazed at how he looked today."

On how his outlook for Henry has changed:

"The more I watch him, it definitely has. It was hard to think about something that far down the road. I'm just trying to win Sunday in Buffalo, but yeah. I was impressed with what I saw today."

On if today was the first sprinting Henry has done:

"He's been doing some stuff on the side all along, but today he just kind of took it to another level."
