WEEK 13 — PODIUM AVAILABILITY

Friday, November 29, 2019 | Hoag Performance Center | Costa Mesa, Calif.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS HEAD COACH ANTHONY LYNN

On Broncos QB Drew Lock:

"It's all about us. We knew there was a chance that Drew could play or [Broncos QB Brandon] Allen. It's about our execution and what we're going to do.

"We have preseason film on him. We watched him in college, liked him in college. We know that he's a guy that can move around a little bit and create. He throws with pretty good accuracy as well."

On S Derwin James Jr.:

"We'll get through the film, we'll see how he moved around and we will make that decision."

On S Adrian Phillips:

"The same with Adrian Phillips. It's just hard for guys to be out 10, 12 weeks, come back and pick up where they left off. We have to be careful putting guys back out too soon or back out there before they're ready."

On if James would have limitations if activated:

"I would hope that he wouldn't have limitations, but it would be smart to have him on somewhat of a snap count because it would be his first game back."

On deciding whether to activate James:

"I think we'll know by tomorrow what we're going to do with DJ [James]. He's a healthy person right now."

On James this week:

"I thought he moved around well. The change-of-direction, quickness, tackling and the physicality of the game is just something that he hasn't done in a long time."

On T Russell Okung:

"He's done more in practice each and every day, but he's not quite there yet. It'll probably be a game-time decision.

"If he's back, he's our starting left tackle for a reason and would definitely make us better."

On WR Mike Williams being limited earlier in the week:

"A lot of times when these guys get banged up early, they just play with it for the rest of the year. Sometimes, you have to sit them down just to get them some rest."

On T Sam Tevi:

"He could be the swing guy or start at his spot at right tackle. I thought [T] Trent Scott played pretty well there last week. We'll see."

On if T Trent Scott would start at right tackle if Tevi did not start:

"Absolutely."
