WEEK 9 — PODIUM AVAILABILITY

Friday, November 1, 2019 | Hoag Performance Center | Costa Mesa, Calif.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS HEAD COACH ANTHONY LYNN

On defensive back depth:

"We'll see on Sunday. Right now, [S Roderic Teamer] is [doubtful]. We have options, but we will see on Sunday.

"There are a lot of moves we can make if Teamer can't go, but like I said, we'll see on Sunday."

On if K Michael Badgley was limited at all this week:

"No, not at all.

"I wouldn't kick him if I didn't think he was ready."

On emphasizing the little things:

"Just basic things like tackling, blocking and taking care of the football. Basic things and fundamentals of our game, I think we can improve on — I know we can improve on. That's going to help us int he second half of this season."

On players being motivated after the staff change:

"It's cool that they feel that way, but like I told them, that's my failure. Whenever I have to fire someone, I think it's my failure. It's not them. I just want them to go out and play the best they can, and be at their best. That's all that they can control."

On where Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen will coach from:

"You know what, he's going to try and call it from downstairs first. Eventually, he may go up. When I called it, I felt comfortable calling it from upstairs because I had more space and my emotions were out of the game. I could just call it with a clear head. Different strokes for different folks. He wants to be on the sideline. He wants to be in the action. We'll see how it goes."

On if Steichen calling the plays can be an advantage:

"It can be. He's a guy that's never done it before. Is he going to be conservative? Is he going to be aggressive? You just don't know."
