The Right Combination vs. the Raiders Through the Years

Over this season, we have reviewed the most recent victories over the upcoming opponent. But since it is Raiders week, we will take a look at a handful of notable victories over the black and silver.

The Right Combination on Oct. 12, 2014 in Oakland: Branden Oliver continued his breakout season with a 101-yard game in the Black Hole to help propel the Chargers to a 31-28 win. His one-yard run into the end zone late in the fourth quarter gave the Chargers a seven point lead and Jason Verrett sealed the victory with an interception on the following Raiders drive.

The Right Combination on Jan. 1, 2012 in Oakland: One of Philip Rivers' best games vs. the Raiders came on New Year's Day in what ended in a 38-26 Chargers victory. Number 17 finished with 310 yards through the air and three touchdowns. His top targets were Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates, who both topped the century mark in receiving yards and found pay dirt in the victory.

The Right Combination on Oct. 7, 2007 in San Diego: Jumping into the way-back machine, long-time Chargers fans remember this game due to LaDainian Tomlinson's historic performance in the Bolts' 28-14 win.  LT's dominant day started from the get-go as he found the end zone twice in the first quarter. He finished the day with over 200 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns.
