Since it is the final week of the regular season, we will take a look back at past regular season finales and highlight memorable right combinations in those games.
Tyrell Williams is closing in on 1,000 receiving yards this season. However, he made an impression after going undrafted coming out of college in last year's regular season finale against the Broncos. Williams showed signs of what was to come, hauling in his first career catch and touchdown in one big swoop – an 80-yard touchdown against the best defense in the NFL.
In the 2013 regular season finale the Chargers topped the Chiefs 27-24, which secured the Bolts a spot in the playoffs. The right combination that afternoon was the efforts by Ryan Mathews on the ground and Keenan Allen through air. Mathews grinded out 144 yards on the ground and Allen hauled in five catches for 89 yards to help propel the Chargers to the playoffs.
One of the most memorable regular season finale's came in 2008 when the Chargers beat the Broncos 52-21. The right combination that day was the ground attack of LaDainian Tomlinson and Darren Sproles, as they accounted for over 200 yards and four touchdowns. In the victory, the Chargers not only earned spot in the playoffs but also claimed the AFC West crown.
