Joe Larocco and his wife, Irene, have been Season Ticket Members since 1961. They started with two season tickets when they attended games at Balboa Stadium. Now the Larocco's have 20 tickets they share with family and friends. Joe's favorite game was the epic Chargers-Dolphins playoff game in Miami on January 2, 1982. He witnessed the Chargers win 41-38 in overtime. It is a game that he will never forget.
Joe is an active member of the Charger Backers and he sits on its Board of Directors. In 1971, Joe was voted the Charger Backers Fan of the Year because of his overwhelming enthusiasm in leading all the fans in cheers. Joe can still be found today pumping up the crowd. Joe has six children, 17 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. All of Joe's family have been involved in sports. In fact, one of his sons played little league baseball against Chargers' great Lance Alworth's son.
