Philip Rivers Nominated for Duo of Awards

Philip Rivers finished the Chargers' season strong, and his performance in the 30-10 win over the Oakland Raiders earned him a pair of nominations for weekly honors.

Rivers is nominated for FedEx's Air Player of the Week as well as the Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week.

In the win over the Raiders, Rivers completed 28 of 37 attempts (75.6-percent) for 387 yards and three scores.  The three touchdowns moved his career total to 342, which tied Fran Tarkenton for sixth all-time.  Additionally, Rivers became only the ninth player in NFL history to throw for 50,000 passing yards when he connected with Keenan Allen on an 11-yard gain early in the first quarter.
