The Chargers are headed to Monstropolis.
The NFL, ESPN and Disney announced Monday that the Chargers Week 14 game against the Eagles on Monday Night Football will also feature a Monster's Inc-themed alternate telecast.
Dubbed "Monsters Funday Football," the alternate telecast will be a real-time animated game that will take place on the new Cheer Floor, a reimagined version of the film's notable Scream Floor.
Highlight-reel plays will fill "Cheer Canisters," while fan favorites Mike and Sulley will compete in the Cheer Canister Challenge at halftime to see who can get the most canisters filled.
The Week 14 primetime game is on December 8 with kickoff at 5:15 p.m. (PT).
The game can be seen ESPN2, the ESPN app, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney+.
Drew Carter will serve as the play-by-play commentator while NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky will also be on the call. They will be in the broadcast booth as animated versions of themselves. Roz, the slug-like monster from the film, will serve as the sideline reporter.
The Chargers and Eagles both made the postseason last year and both currently hold a playoff spot halfway through the 2025 season.
