Marines Collecting Toys at Chargers Game

Prior to Sunday's game between the Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, service men and women from the United States Marine Corps will be accepting new unwrapped toys at white collection boxes located throughout the inner ring parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium for the 27th annual Chargers Toys for Tots toy drive, presented by Cymer, an ASML company. Marines will also be walking through the outer lots collecting cash donations. The game kicks off at 1:25 p.m.

The toys will be distributed to deserving children throughout San Diego in time for the holidays through various charitable organizations. The primary goal of "Toys for Tots" is to deliver-through a new toy at Christmas- a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
